The Presidential Election and Immigration

flag

The pending change in administration comes with uncertainty. Today, our nation needs to be strong and united. Our communities need to be informed and proactive. At this time, there has been no change in the immigration laws or policies. If you have not already done so, you should become informed about currently available immigration options. Now is the time to take proactive steps to advance your immigration position. It is time for you to take control of your future.

Proactive steps to consider include filing for citizenship or obtaining permanent residence status (Green Card). If you have a green card, you should renew it if it is expired or expiring. If you are eligible for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) or an immigration wavier, you should submit an application as soon as possible. You will be less likely to be negatively affected by future immigration law changes if you obtain a more secure immigration status now.

Be aware of notario fraud; the wrong immigration “help” can hurt your immigration case. Seek assistance from a licensed immigration attorney to evaluate your case and help you pursue the appropriate course of action. We are here to answer any questions, to deal with concerns, and to help you build your American future.
